Allegheny County Bar Association changed its Bench Bar Conference format in 2017 and replaced the Keynote speaker with three TED Talk presenters. Each speaker is given 17 minutes to make a presentation. The topic was PA Medical Marijuana. The topics included; history of medical marijuana in USA and related information regarding PA law vs California and other states that permit recreational use, employment law issues related to medical marijuana and banking regulations impacting the business of medical marijuana. We offered 1 substantive CLE credit for this program. We used local attorneys for the first two topics and a Philly Attorney by the name of Steve Schain for the banking topic. It was very well received.
