Westmoreland Bar Association Executive Director Presented With Award for Professional Excellence

At the 46th annual Conference of County Bar Leaders (CCBL) held in Lancaster on February 23 - 25, 2012, Westmoreland Bar Association (WBA) Executive Director Diane Krivoniak was presented with the 15th annual Arthur J. Birdsall Award. The Birdsall Award is presented to a county bar executive who demonstrates professional excellence, who is committed to the success of his or her bar association, and who significantly enhances the stature of his or her bar association. The award is named in honor of Arthur J. Birdsall, the PBA's county bar services director who retired after nearly 40 years of support to local bar associations. For over 20 years, Krivoniak has been the "heart and soul" of the WBA. She is credited with improving technology, including the development of a bar association website, promoting WBA CLE seminars featuring WBA members, encouraging special events, and development of excellent bench/bar relationships. She is hands on, professional, and encourages her board to be creative. According to her nomination, she is also the No. 1 reason why the WBA values its participation in the CCBL. Congratulations, Diane!
